Forgot One More Thing...

Nanny's comment just reminded me....

I can't believe I've made 2 posts and forgot this picture! It's a Squatty Potty!
This was in The Forbidden City. There were normal toilets too so I didn't venture to use this, but the bathroom was indeed BYOTP- bring your own toilet paper. Luckily I was prepared ;).
I feel like my small town rural upbringing has prepared me for the use of a squatty potty so I still may use one just to say I have. It's very cold so the fact that I had multiple layers of clothes to pull up & down and the big camera around my neck was not conducive to the experiment. Maybe tomorrow at the Great Wall???

Maria keeps asking when we drive by your house? Are they back yet with their daughter?!!! I think Penelope already has a friend and a neighbor playmate! So excited for you all! After two weeks of Chinese food, we'll have "Joe's" ready for you when you get back!!

Keep blogging, we love it!

So is the squat potty a porta potty since there is no water or I assume no water. Does it smell or is there water or does the waste just go to a sewer or oh my gosh I am obsessed with this toilet. Moving on. I almost would have been attempted to try something on Snack Street. Almost. Some of it looked interesting to say the least. Keep the pictures and blog updates coming. We are enjoying seeing China through your eyes. Getting excited less than 3 days to Penelope. Enjoy and hopefully great rest tonight.
