There's No Place Like Home!

We were welcomed back to the JC in style!

This was truly overwhelming! Jason loves all the ladies at Marathon. Thanks Susan!!

We pulled in the driveway to another welcome home sign!
We were so excited to see the boys! I wish I was the one with the camera so I would have a picture of Jason scooping both the boys up into his arms!
They were very happy to meet the sister they have been waiting so long to have home!

Both of our families were patiently waiting to see us. Or more accurately, to see Penelope.

Penelope was somewhat overwhelmed by all the attention and at first went back to her "stunned" look that was so familiar to us from our first few days together.

Quincy had been planning to be the one who showed Penelope her new room.

What an amazing feeling to see these kids together!

The boys tried on their China hats.

And showed their baby sister her new toys.

We were overwhelmed by the awesome welcome home decorations and food.

 Best. Cake. Ever.

Not sure how I didn't take pictures of the fabulous taco buffet Rebekah had made us. We had been talking about coming home to tacos the whole China trip. I had been talking about coming home to a polar pop. Again, no diet coke in China.
It wasn't long before Penelope decided having a big crazy family wasn't such a  bad thing!

She loved the presents!

Our first picture as a family of 6. I'm guessing it will be a while before we can get everyone looking at the camera at the same time :).
Penelope, do you want a sword?

She took a bath (still not a fan) and got ready for bed.

She went right to sleep in her new bed!

She slept through the night! Take that, jet lag.

She would have slept longer but look who decided to sneak into her bed...

No way I could be mad!

These pictures are a realistic representation of how we roll at our house.
And, they're my dream come true....

As my mom would say, My Cup Runneth Over.

Jason, Michelle, Gabe, Dexter, Quincy & Penelope,
I have been following your blog during your journey with Penelope and sharing your story with my girls. Today though we sat down and read your blog from start to finish (and found ourselves wishing there were more posts). The girls have enjoyed every picture of Penelope. I believe I heard "she is so cute" about 100 times. You did an amazing job capturing some beautiful moments. They are looking forward to meeting her someday. The girls are also looking forward to talking to Dexter and Quincy about Penelope at school while they wait for the bus together. We are so happy for your family!
