Walt Disney World

We had a great time at Disney. I will say going in August is much different than going in November or December. It was really, really hot! We stayed at the Polynesian. This has been my dream resort. I has stayed there once before with Mom and Sarah while I went to a medical conference but never with my family.
The Polynesian is 1970's fabulous, think Brady Bunch goes to Hawaii in the best way ever.

It did not disappoint! We loved it. So nice to have the monorail. We loved the pool with the volcano slide. Watching wishes from the beach each night while I cried making wishes for Penelope was just priceless.

We have driven to Florida so much that I'm guessing our minivan knows the way. This time we left at about 9:00pm. We all slept a good bit (not Jason of course, he was driving).

We were entertained with movies, markers, and wiki stix.
We set a new family record. We only stopped 2 TIMES!

Nothing is better than driving under this sign. It's Where Dreams Come True!!

Quinn is excite we made it.

Gotta love driving under the Magic Kingdom signs to get to our hotel.

We made it! Aloha Everyone!

Love this lobby!

On our way to find our room.
I'll take this view for a week thank you very much.

Our room was in the Samoa building. The Polynesian has a main building with the restaurants, shops, and the monorail. Then the guest rooms are in "longhouses" each named after a Polynesian island. I had requested ground floor, Samoa, volcano pool side. Very specific and popular request, only 8 rooms available. A patient of mine's daughter works at the Polynesian and I'm pretty sure she hooked us up with the awesome room. THANKS!!!

On to important things-lunch! Disney Magic started already. Our dining plan didn't start till the next day. We were going to pay for our food when another guest came along and bought it for us. She was checking out and had dining credits that were going to go to waste.
 Pixie Dust!

Grown up grilled cheese. Yum. Just Yum.

It's ok to let your 5 year old have a cupcake for lunch right? It's vacation. Plus its a Minnie Mouse cupcake.

The volcano pool was awesome! Dex must have went on that slide a thousand times over the course of the week. Quinn went once and decided it wasn't for him.

The castle from the pool.

Checking out our resort.

Dex and Q modeled some hats in the gift shop.

The Electric Water Pageant went by our hotel in the lake every night.

Watching Wishes with our toes in the sand. Pure paradise!

After this it was off to bed, we would head to the Magic Kingdom the next day.....
