Things are quiet on the adoption front. Way. Too. Quiet. We are waiting for our home study to be approved by DCFS/State of IL. Illinois is the ONLY state that has this step. It should have been approved early last week so I am praying we get our home study Monday or Tuesday.
In the meantime, we sent Zi Shu care package #2 in July. This time we had a care package service in Ch*na (you know your country has a lot of orphans when that's someone's business) send the care package to her. We had a hard time tracking our last package so this way we knew it would at least make it to her orphanage. We were also able to write her a letter that she translated for us.
They can usually get an update and pictures of your baby but unfortunately we struck out on that one.
The care package included a flash drive for them to hopefully take/save pictures of Zi Shu, pajamas, a doll (I think that's Kai-Lan? Nai Hau), candy for her Nannies, a snuggly blanket, and the letter from us.
I'm working on her next care package now. I wonder if she has any idea what is happening? I just pray every day that God is softening her heart and preparing her to accept her new family.
