Back to our Happy Place!! Walt Disney World!!

Tomorrow night we're leaving for Disney World! I can't think of anything better to distract me from what seems like the SLOW SLOW SLOW pace of our adoption right now.

I know Disney isn't for everyone, but we love it. I don't think words can do justice to the magical things that have happened there.
We've been taking our kids to Disney since Gabe was in kindergarten. It's hard to believe home much our lives have changed since them! We have loved making memories at Disney with Gabe, Dexter, & Quincy. Soon we will have our own little princess to introduce to Disney Magic!

We try to take pictures the same place every trip. I've missed it a couple of times. I could do a million Disney pictures posts. I'm sure I'll share more of my favorites. I can't wait to make new memories with my boys next week!

Penelope, I promise this is the LAST time we go to Walt Disney World without you. Every wish I make will be for you!!

Kitchen Continued

Continued from previous post....

 I think the pictures speak for themselves. 

The kitchen is so much more open. The appliances work. We love it. We are so happy and grateful that this is the home our kids will grow up in. We hope it's where our grandkids come to visit!!

House Remodel/Addition

I'm taking a break from my regular adoption updates because unfortunately, I don't have anything to report. 

In the mean time, I thought I would share some pictures of our house.

About this time last year, Jason and I were trying to decide whether we should move or stay in our current home. We had lots that needed done, but we love our location. Ultimately we decided to remodel and add on. 

We worked with Schackmann Construction to come up with a plan. They were FABULOUS! We highly recommend them.

Up first is "BEFORE" pics of the kitchen. Honestly, I think it looked even worse in real life than it does in the pictures.

Out with the old..... Jared and Kyle tore out the old kitchen down to the studs. The "DURING" part was the least fun.

Making progress! They raised the ceiling, put in new windows and doors, and put lights everywhere!!

Next came cabinets. We went with Mette's. We were very happy with them. They helped us with the layout of our cabinets and helped us choose our counter tops.

AMI Continued

We take pictures of these same rocks every year. Our family sure has grown over the years!

This year we were all thinking of a certain little someone on the other side of the world.
