Crazy busy week for the Fulton Family. I'm back to work and baseball is in full swing (pun intended) for Jason.
This week is a great example of how much our families do for us. Mam and Nanny are watching Penelope until school gets out.
She is loves going to Mam & Bamp's and Nanny & PaPa's.
But its not just Mam & Nanny. Aunt YaYa (Sarah) watched her one afternoon this week while I got my haircut (at least 10 inches off by the way).
YaYa wore her out so much that she fell asleep on the floor!
My niece Payton had been taking Dexter to the babysitters after school for us. Aunt Bubba (Rebekah) stayed on call for pick up duty.
Jason and I are so thankful. We have the best family. We truly couldn't do this without them!
We got more good news for Penelope this week. On Thursday we went back to St. Louis. This time to Shriner's Hospital for Children. Jason had a baseball game so my mom & dad took us to St.Louis. Penelope went for an orthopedic evaluation to make sure there wasn't anything structurally holding her back from walking.
We saw a nurse practitioner (yay), had xrays, saw a physical therapist, occupational therapist, and orthopedic surgeon.
Great news-they think Penelope is going to be fine. They encouraged us to continue with the therapy but they think she will catch up. She does have osteopenia - basically thinning bones-from malnutrition. Sad.
All in all, wonderful report from a wonderful organization. So buy a Shriner porkburger, dance a Shriner dance. They're doing good stuff!
